The Remanufactured OBR Mercury & Mariner 4-Stroke carbureted/EFI Short Block Engine offers the perfect blend of power and reliability. Compatible with 2001 to 2023 models, the engine delivers 40 to 60HP. The short block engine has both carbureted and electronic fuel injection configurations.
Upgrades and Enhancements
- The cylinders have been expertly rebored to enhance precision.
- All the crucial components, including pistons, rings, wristpins, seals, and bearings, have been replaced.
- The powerhead is repainted to enhance aesthetics and add protection.
- Base Gasket Kit and Head Gasket are included.
Moreover, the remanufactured Mercury & Mariner Short Block engine comes with a limited one-year warranty. It can be expanded up to 24 months for $440 (https://www.obparts.com/obr-red-rhino-new-and-remanufactured-parts-warranty/). There is no additional core charge. For those models with a core value, a core return label will be sent with the replacement powerhead, at which point the original powerhead can be returned for inspection. If the core passes inspection, a refund check of up to the amount listed above will be issued to the buyer; otherwise, the core will be scrapped and not returned.
